Tamil Nadu is reeling after two teenage boys missing since Sunday were found in a remote spot near Kanchipuram district, state police said on Wednesday.

The police said the two boys were identified as 22-year-old Ajith, who lives with his father, and 18-year old Vinay.

They were taken to a local hospital after the family reported missing.

Police said the men were found alive on Tuesday after police and a rescue team searched the area around two kilometres from the village of Gaddikapuram, in the state’s Puducherry district.

A search team was sent to the area for a week to recover the bodies.
